IV.OBJECTIVES
1. Cognitive
a. Product
1) Without reading handout, student can mention kind of optical instrument with its function correctly.
2) Without reading handout, student can mention part of microscope and telescope by their own language correctly.
3) Without reading handout, student can describe the function of microscope and telescope in daily life by their own language correctly.
4) Without reading handout, student can differentiate the work principle between microscopes and telescope correctly.
b. Process
1) By given figure of microscope, student can explain how microscopes magnify objects by their own language correctly.
2) By given figure of telescope, student can explain how telescope make distant object visible by their own language correctly.
2. Affective
a. Character building: Including teaching – learning process is centered to the learner, students can appear character in curiosity, accuracy, honest, talk active.

I. LEARNING MODEL
Learning model : Class Discussion
V.LEARNING SOURCES
1. Handout
2. Article
3. Student worksheet
4. Lesson plan
5. Evaluation sheet
VI. TOOLS AND MATERIAL
Eritrosit picture, epidermis picture
VII. LEARNING ACTIVITY
A. Introduction (10 minute)
1. First phase : Clarify aims and establish set
a. Teacher explains the learning objectives.
b. Teacher recalls the previous material about light and lens.
c. Teacher checks the pre knowledge of the students about optical instrument.
d. Teacher shows eritrosit picture, epidermis picture, satellite picture, and stars picture. Then classified them which are the eritrosit picture with epidermis picture and satellite picture with stars picture. Teacher asks student “How expert can take these pictures? Can they observe them just using eyes?.” by this question, we hope student respond by conjecturing that there are some equipment help to observe it. It is better if they can know that microscope used to observe eritrosit and epidermis.
e. Teacher delivers problems:
- How we can make simple microscope by using mineral bottle and drop of water?
A. MAIN ACTIVITY (25 minutes)
1. Phase Two: Focus the discussion (5minutes)
a. Teacher delivers discussion objectives are to solve problem, be a good communicator, and create creative thinking.
b. Teacher organizes discussion setting:
- Time allocation is 1 x 45 minutes
- Introduction (10 minutes)
- Discussion activity (25 minutes)
- Closure : the end discussion (5 minutes)
- Asking and answering short question (5 minutes)
c. Teacher makes 4 groups in a class who sit as capital U to make discussion easier, it consist of 4 – 5 students and one of student a notulen on each group. Then distribute the hand out and worksheet to each student.
d. Teacher explains about the discussion and manners will discuss true as according to matter that be discussed
Discussion rule:
1) Student that want to submit the opinion must make gestures beforehand moment discus with other group
2) Student may deliver opinion or question or giving respond after permitted by teacher
3) Student may not force upon the opinion
4) Every group member must come along to participate moment discus
5) Notulen on each group writes every respond(question, answer or statement )
2. Phase three: Hold the discussion(15 minutes)
a. The students read handout and discuss material under teacher guidance, while finishing the student worksheet too.
b. Teacher Monitors students interactions.
c. Teacher guides students to discuss with group members about the results of the discussion.
3. Phase four: End the discussion (5 minutes)
a. Teacher asks students to present the results of each discussion group and directing at the true concept.
b. Other groups provide the opportunity to ask questions or respond to and improve the other group answers as the discussion rule.
c. Teacher checks student’s worksheet
d. CLOSSURE
4. Phase Five: The end discussion(5 minutes)
a. Teacher checks notes are made by notulen on each group
b. Teacher makes conclusion and summary about result of the discussion with the student.
c. Teacher with student answer the question in the first phase:
- How does microscope magnify object?
- How does telescope makes distant object visible?
5. Asking and answering short question(5minutes)
a. Teacher asks the discussion process “Did you get some difficulties when we’re doing discussion?”
b. Review lesson to the student based on the discussion by giving evaluation sheet.
I. Evaluation Learning Outcome
A. Cognitive assessment
B. Affective assessment
